Ich Bin Berliner

I was in Berlin at the beginning of this week for an ICEF conference. It went really well and I make a lot of contacts. The event is extremely tiring because you're meeting with people nonstop from 8 am to 6 pm (not to mention the cocktails and dinners that follow).

I didn't have much time to tour the city, but I was able to squeeze in a few hours Wednesday morning before my flight. Berlin is a nice city and the layout is more American than European (wide streets, spread out, etc.). I guess this is due to the reconstruction after WWII. The highlights of the stroll included the Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie. I hope to have more time to visit the next time around.
