Under the Big Top

Anne-Laure and I took Theo to the Medrano Circus yesterday evening. Medrano is family-run circus that still holds its show under a classic Big Top (think Water for Elephants, if you've read that book). Our tickets, which were well worth the price for the awe-struck look on Theo's face, were on the front row.

The show included lots of horses, elephants, tigers and (strangely enough) trained acrobatic cows. Outside of the animals, there were trapeze artists, magicians, stunt cycles in the 'Ball of Death' and clowns. The clowns, however, were not Theo's favorite...at all (just like my friend Chris Tilghman).

Overall, the Little Guy had a wonderful (but exhausting) time.
